"And Tiny Tim said ..."

This Christmas card was really a lot of fun to do despite it being a BIG layout.

There were a number of changes in this "sequel" to my 1999 card. The background was redone with warm candle-light pouring from the windows out into the cold winter's night. The entrance to Scrooge's counting house has a nice brass plaque on the wall. The snow on the window frames was a bugger to do, but it came out rather nicely finally. And speaking of windows, the toy store (on the left) expanded by putting in a nice display window. If you look really closely, you'll see a sailor plushie inside.
Then there was a degree of attention paid to the characters' costumes which I deliberately made colorful to put across the joyous air of the Dickensesque scene. Even the reformed Mister Scrooge (right) is "keeping Christmas" with a gift under his arm to be delivered. But the center stage is for the Cratchit Family. Bob Cratchit (played by Lionus) holds aloft his small son Tiny Tim (played by Wilber) while his oldest son, Peter (played by Dai), cheers them on.

Like I said, it was a lot of work, but I am very happy with the way it turned out and will probably visit Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" again sometime in the future.
