Pencil, pen and PhotoShop coloring of a transparency. This images was done in a style about mid-way between serious art and a cartoon.

I made a number of what I call "icon pieces" for a commercial web-site around this time. An icon piece is for me a graphic (usually transparent) that carries the theme of a web page. I don't remember just what type of page this icon was going to be used on, but the theme of this image seems to have something to do with vain self-involvement. :)
