A pool party where one thing leads to another. ;)

Way back in 1999, Wookiee totally surprised and delighted me when he posted his excellent picture "Poolside". It was not only yiffy and colorful but also had a "story" to it, something that only a few furry artists seem capable of doing today.

The story was so well suggested that I wrote to Wookiee and told him that from his picture I could easily imagine what went on after the moment he had captured. Heh, me and my big muzzle. Wookiee came back at me and counter-suggested that -I- do a follow-up pic of those following moments. So-o-o-o, after much agonizing and lots of study, "Sub-Woofers" is the result of his challenge.

Pencil to PhotoShop. One of the biggest challenges for me in doing this pic was in figuring out how to do the shimmery underwater reflections of light. Then there was the odd angle I needed to work from to get both the underwater activities and the above water reaction to those activities. I added a slight yellow tinge to the above water portion of the scene to give it a warm sunny feeling to counter the cooler blues of the underwater portion.
